Despite the current situation, I was able to to spent some time on the Danish island Fanø. The island is only 17 km long and approx. 4 km wide. Typical cottages offer the perfect habitat for a summer on the island.
The island has two main towns and two settlements of summer cottages connected by a beautiful long sandy beach.
For those that are looking for more greenery, Fanø has forests and fields of Heather and dunes.
After a day of exploring the island, there is plenty of of things to do around the cottage. Have a drink or make a meal and relax.
And for those who are looking for a night out, there are restaurants and bars that offer great local food in a traditional, nautical setting.
