The Covid-19 pandemic has changed our life. Things are not what they used to be. Traveling during Covid times is particularly difficult. Many countries are completely closed for tourism, others are open, however, the health standards are at a level where it is not advisable to visit such countries.
Mallorca announced that the case numbers are low and that the island is requiring everyone to take a Covid Test before entering. Flights became available and some hotels had opened up again. After spending the winter in Berlin, I decided to book a flight with Lufthansa, flying to the island for 10 days.

I stayed at the Castillo Son Vida, a beautiful old Castillo, part of Marriott. It is situated in the hills above Palma with an ideal connection to the main highway just 10 minutes away.
From here all scenic parts of the island can be easily reached.

On this trip there has been one particular highlight. The mountain tour through the Serra de Tramuntana was simply amazing. These mountains are so stunning, it is difficult to capture the beauty in photos.

After having spent an entire day in the mountains it was time to relax the next day and take it easy. However, after being at the pool for half a day I got fidgety and had to do something else. As it was a beautiful and sunny day I decided to go down and explore a part of the southern coast. I had read that there are apparently some old pirate caves on the south shore which I was eager to explore.

Days fly by on the island and there is every day something else to do and to explore.

Besides having never enough time to explore all the things on the island, there seems to be never enough time to stop at all the wonderful restaurants and try all the amazing food that is available on the island.

Because, like always, there is that last sunset, before having to leave again. Hoping that time will pass quickly to be able to return to Mallorca Island.
